Dr Paul Hyland graduated from Sydney University and subsequently specialised in Obstetrics & Gynaecology, training at St Margaret's & St Vincent's Hospitals in Sydney, and then at the Royal Marsden Hospital in London and Norwich UK. He is a fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons in Edinburgh and fellow of the College of Obstetricians & Gynaecologists in London. He is also a founding fellow of the Royal Australian Collage of Obstetricians & Gynaecologists. He specialised in laparoscopic gynaecological surgery becoming founding member of the American Association of Gynaecological Laparoscopists. He is competent in all aspects of vaginal surgery, and has worked extensively overseas particularly in the Middle East. He is also a member of the Australian Society of Colposcopists and Clinical Pathologists.
Dr Susan Cherry graduated from Sydney University and trained at The Royal Prince Alfred Hospital. While a General Practitioner in Dubbo NSW, she worked as an anaesthetist and obstetrician. She also holds the Family Planning Certificate and Diploma in Obstetrics and Gynaecology. In Perth, she was awarded the Family Planning Certificate and Diploma in Obstetrics and Gynaecology. Susan held the position of Director of Family Planning WA for 6 years before she moved back to NSW where she worked in sexual health, colposcopy and general practice. She is a most experienced intravenous sedationist.
Dr John Ives graduated from the University of Otago Medical School, NZ. He was an intern at Timaru Hospital and entered into general practice, prior to commencing specialist training in obstetrics and gynaecology. He obtained his specialist qualification in London, and then practiced as a private specialist consultant in general obstetrics and gynaecology in New Zealand and Western Australia until 2003. Since then he has worked as a locum specialist in a number of rural hospitals in the eastern states of Australia and Tasmania. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, and a Fellow of the Royal Australian and NZ College of Obstetrics and Gynaecology.
Dr Lyn Shumack is a registered psychologist with 25 years experience in private practice Dr Shumack has special interests in mood disorders, such a anxiety and depression, personality problems, psychological trauma and abuse. Recognised as an expert in psychological diagnosis and treatment, she has worked extensively as an expert witness and providing assessments for Court matters. She is one of a handful of Australian psychologists qualified in both forensic and clinical psychology, and has served as NSW Chairperson of the Australian Psychological Society.
